Botanic gardens with SL and family. Either a tanager or an oriole by the cherry blossom grove, singing a song I'd never heard before. I'm more delighted by a bird than most anything else these past few weeks. Even sparrows and starlings and the occasional pigeon stubbornly blocking foot (or car!) traffic.
Made this photo as a black and white, but then became obsessed with the blues and purples in the bottom. Decided to go color and split tone. Reminds me of KB's paper collages. Sometimes I think I'm answering the question, What happens when a child grows up only looking at abstract art? Okay, not only abstract art.
And I'm not going to seriously answer that question for myself or anyone else. It's just my joke about not being bored.
